»A few years ago I fell deeply in love with the white mountain cows of Tännäs, a small village in the north of Sweden. During the summer and the early autumn months the cows and their calves move around freely on a fairly large area with meadows and a forest. I became curious and fascinated by them and it didn’t take long before I felt an urge to investigate what they where doing for example in the middle of the night in the forest. Since that first summer I followed them with my camera during days as well as nights, from early summer until late fall. After having spent so much time with the cows they got used to have me around and I came to know them as individuals and discovered their differencies in terms of character and temperament. I also noticed that a common trait among many of these cows is their great curiosity.«
