Book, 135 x 210 mm, 473 pages, softcover. Graphic design by My Hellsten.
Graphic design for »Arbetsamhället« where the Swedish writer Roland Paulsen questions the idea of work as the foundation of society. The need for human labor is less than ever thanks to technological development and the wealth that demanded ten people’s work in the early 1900s can now be produced by a single person. Nevertheless, we work more than we have done for most of the story. Burnout and stress increase, jobs are filled with »empty work« and retirement age is raised. Photograph on the cover by Carl Hjelte.
